‘Tis The Season: How To Create Effective Holiday Campaigns

Happy November! The weather is getting colder, pumpkin spice is discreetly being replaced by candy cane and gingerbread scents and flavours, and Mariah Carey’s Christmas album is at the top of the charts once more. You all know what that means… the holidays are just around the corner, making this the perfect time to start thinking about how you’re going to approach your holiday campaigns this year!

This week, we’re going to talk all about how to get your brand in the holiday spirit with some of our favourite festive campaign ideas!

Social Media Advent Calendar

What better way to get in the holiday spirit than to kick off the season with a social media advent calendar? We love this alternative take on our beloved Lindt advent calendars. Plan out exciting surprises ahead of time that you’ll release every day from December 1 to December 24 to keep your audience engaged and hungry for more!

Your advent calendar treats can range from releasing a new piece of content (blog posts, never-before-seen BTS photos, etc.), to organizing daily discount codes for your products and/or services. During the holidays, everyone’s on the lookout to snag a great deal, so offering discounted prices on your best sellers is a surefire way to up your sales, engagement, and probably your follower count. Your customers will definitely be grateful for some discounts around this pricey time of year 😉

Influencer Holiday Collaborations

Collaborating with industry-relevant influencers is another great way to get the conversation going around your holiday branding. This is super fun and effective, and will get your creative juices flowing when it comes to coming up with holiday-themed visual content to stage with your partnered influencers!

Influencers, particularly those on Instagram, will likely be able to generate amazing, festive content that your audience will be compelled to engage with. Organizing a product giveaway or a holiday-themed brand shoutout with the right influencer can increase brand awareness and skyrocket your engagement!

Brand Holiday Bundle

It’s the season of giving! And that includes being generous with your bundled services. If you haven’t already, think about creating a special holiday bundle of your products/services that will be up for grabs during the month of December (and even into January, if you’re feeling extra nice!).

Make sure to strategize when creating your custom bundles. Take a step back and reflect on what your high selling points were over the past year. By pairing one of your best sellers with a product/service that you’d like to more heavily promote, you might just get word out about your lesser-known product/service. Your customers will find it hard to resist buying a bestselling item at a special price, and definitely won’t say no to testing out a new item if it comes along with the main product!
